MPC "DigiSET"

PURPOSE

Variable speed motor drives play an essential role in providing the accuracy and flexibility necessary for critical process control. The DigiSET can serve as a: MASTER speed reference, SLAVE ratio follower, MODULATING speed reference controlling motor drives with convenience and digital precision. COMMAND or process RATE (speed) is selected for display by the CMD/RATE key. A host computer or PLC may be connected via RS-422 link to control and receive data from the DigiSet.

FUNCTION

The DigiSET controller series provides frequency or voltage outputs to drive the reference input of any AC or DC motor drive including inverter, brush-less, servo, stepper or conventional.

A keypad and the 1/2 inch high, 5-digit LED display provide direct entry of set-points and limits. Scaling factors on inputs and outputs tailor both to the most convenient engineering units. In operation the display serves as a process or command monitor.

Opto-isolation protects RUN, E-STOP, PRESET, REVERSE, UP, & DOWN remote switch inputs and six auxiliary outputs.

Digital and analog input/output allows flexibility in monitoring and control of process variables.
