The line frequency and voltage level output of power generating systems are crucial to the optimum safety and performance of the connected loads. Generators with manually-adjusted speed and/or voltage require careful setting and monitoring to assure proper output. Operation at low speed can cause loads with electric motors to stall or operate inefficiently. Overspeed can cause burnout or shortened life of the load. Speed error can also cause timing errors in synchronous loads. Excessive current loading can cause voltage sag and damage to the generator.

Generator running speed and voltage output adjustments are made easy by the POWER SENTRY. The compact unit plugs into a standard AC outlet. The liquid-crystal display meter shows line frequency or voltage to the tenth-of-a-unit. A switch selects Hertz or Volts on the one-display model. Both Hertz and Volts are shown simultaneously on the two-display model.

The POWER SENTRY is available with optional automatic alert for out-of-tolerance frequency or voltage by a built-in flashing LED and switched power outlet for local or remote visual or audible alarm such as a lamp, buzzer, or load-shedding relay.

The POWER SENTRY is unconditionally guaranteed free from defects in workmanship and materials for two years.
