FEATURES

Either permanent-magnet or field-wound type motors may be used on 120 or 240 VAC at a current of up to 12 amperes. Also, 90 volt armature / 100 volt field motors may be used with 240 VAC supply (consult factory).

True soft-start of motor insures gentle handling of delicate yarns

Gentle ramping during manual speed adjustments eases operation

An inductive proximity-sensing tachometer pick-up is used to monitor yarn speed and give closed-loop feedback to the RMD for better than .25% speed regulation from core to full package

An operator-accessible YARN SPEED control knob allows for easy manual speed adjustments, and its limits may be set over any span within a 0 to 3000 yard-per-minute range. (other ranges available)

Large positive-action START and STOP buttons allow easy operation even by a gloved hand

Input for safety, limit and break-out switches for quick stop

Easy internal adjustments are provided for ACCELERATION (ACL), MIN. YARN SPEED, MAX. YARN SPEED (SPD), MAX. MOTOR RPM (VL) safety limit, MAX. CURRENT (CL) safety limit and BRAKING force when in stop mode (optional)

Limited maximum current prevents overload even if motor is stalled indefinitely

Automatic instant stop if tachometer signal fails or speed sensing roller stops

May be adjusted to give slower wind speed at core up to predetermined package size then run at faster speed to full package

Includes "metered length" auto shut-off after preset linear measure

Optional remote start/stop & speed control
